Ahhh, the rainy season…
The time of year when we Floridians grow gills to drink our oxygen.
I’m a bit more worried about the inground fruits and veggies, though. I’m concerned about drainage. We’ve had a good bit of rain lately. Luckily the water seems to be draining, albeit slower than 2 weeks ago.
The potted plants aren’t in a bed of roses either. As I look out right now I can see that the pots are all nearly full to the brim with rainwater. *sigh* This has been happening quite a bit lately. I dump the excess rain out when the storm has passed and the plants recover quickly and seem better for it.
Lets hope it hasn’t all been too much for these plants I’ve been tending every day for the past 2 1/2 months. *Happy sunshine summer thoughts*
